THE MEASURE OF RIGHT AND WRONG

WE LIVE IN THE AGE OF HUMAN RIGHTS - Rights for everyone and everything.  But what is the fundamental RIGHT of Man?   It is to Love God with all his heart, mind and strength, and to love his neighbour as himself.
Does he have any other Right?    Yes!    He has the right to Choose his lifestyle, the Right to choose between Good and Evil - the Right to SIN if he so chooses.
AND THIS IS THE CLAMOUR of our Age, to actually find ways and means to excuse EVIL as a human right!.      Well the Bible says the Devil is clever, and there is no doubt he IS.   And he is really pressing forward in this 'generation' with the idea that we all have the right to 'do what we like' in the very broadest terms; 'terms' that have been stretched beyond all proper reason and understanding.     Stretched until it would seem a Man can be justified to do his worst without fear of 'correction', 'Critisism', or judgement of any kind.       Let me do this,  let me do that!   Where will it finally end.
IF I were to truly Love God with all my heart and mind and strength, then I would, by choice PLEASE Him; I would live according to His example in thought word and deed.      Yes I would do so by CHOICE, but in the final consensus, I am (even given I have the power of FREE WILL) expected to make this Choice because it is the RIGHT one.      It is in fact Commanded of me and of every man.
If I opt to PLEASE MYSELF instead, then I fly in the face of God's Commandment and face Punishment.
The Soul that sins (rebels against God's commandment) will DIE.
SO THEN Human Rights, are surely conditional to being in line with His Commandments.     Our real and basic 'right' is to be conform to God's Likeness in all that we think and do and say.         We HAVE the option still to choose to kill, abuse, and spoil ourselves and others, but it is a 'option' that comes with a 'Price' upon it.     SO, let me say that though there be a multiplicity of 'Human Rights' that are some that you will have to PAY to enjoy, and the payment will take you life, your everlasting existence!.

HERE IN KENYA, after a fairly long fight, the Gay/Lesbian faction have finally achieved their RIGHT to form their own Association -  Their previous collective application to be so recognised had been rejected on 'moralistic and religious grounds'.     This a a fairly substantial step towards giving those who are sexually disorientated equal status with those that are not.      A step towards negating what God has always revealed as opposite and obnoxious to His Will and Purpose for men and women sexually - a step together with many others being taken worldwide, to finally EXPUNGE from mankind's awareness, the displeasure caused to God the Creator when He sees our willingness to more and more bend and twist His intentions to fit our own.

More and more, if we give place to the Bible and the Word of God that it IS, we have to accept the truth that we have all clamorously gone astray to PLEASE OURSELVES, departing continuously from the wishes of the One who Made us.       Truly WE are now living in a world that more and more is as it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.     The only difference is that then it was accepted to be a BAD world, but now we tone everything DOWN and seek means to accept the worst, whilst making light of the best.

(Interestingly, on Thursday of this week our Attorney General has filed an Appeal against the Ruling for Gay Association which he says was not in line with existing law.)       We shall see.   What we have remains a world centred on giving itself the Right to choose for the worst, even in the face of seeing such choice bring decline and chaos into world and human society.

======================================

I CAN SEE THE CHILDREN SWIMMING in the Pool, as I look out over my desk through one of the sitting room windows in our cottage.    You would think it must be HOT and brilliant sunshine all around, but NO it is stormy and the sky looks as if it will unload a huge quantity of RAIN any minute, and so the sun is NOT shining, and the temperature is NOT in the least war.     BUT this is the last chance before our 2nd School Term begins next week, and
life will become once more too full and busy for swimming just for pleasure.

I just popped across to Jacaranda, to see how things are.      The Garden is beginning to show promise after the rain, and we expect a good crop of veg continuing on for some months.      The New House is also looking more 'finished' and they now hope everything to be finished by the end of the month.   God has been so good as building works have continued on through the year.     We are happy and pleased by it.    The Sitting and Dining space seems quite enormous now that the first coat of pain is on.     Yes, God is SO good.       WE are so impatient.     I was reading this week again about Patience having its perfect work.  It is our patience that has been and continues to be tested throughout this ministry just now - keep praying for us all.

YESTERDAY one of our Old Girls from Testimony House - Purity Abwona, now 22 and working as a Nursery Teacher in our Nursery School , came to introduce her young man, John, to me and Esther.   They had tea with us, and we had a very happy time of fellowship.      They have just become Engaged, and hope to Marry later this year.     Custom still dictates that prospective Brides and Grooms have first of all to be approved of by respective parents.      John, a Computer Programmer, was a bit nervous, meeting us for the first time, but we thawed him out, and all was well, and they went away happy and excited.       It is SO good to see these young people now grown up, and starting out in their own lives.      It is always a SPECIAL blessing for us, and I am sure for all our respective Houseparents, to see children come home, grown up, happy, and successful, with Jesus still in their heart and life.

Daryl has to attend Hospital next Tuesday as an Outpatient for a three hour operation.     He will go in at 8a.m. our time and come out at about 11a.m.      Not very complicated.     However he will have to REST for between two and three weeks thereafter.    He is not looking forward to it - the REST I mean!

We OPEN SCHOOL on Tuesday next week.      We open seriously challenged, with a few teachers leaving to take up Government posts, and needed building works being held up in the Nursery area, plus all the other termly recurring needs of school uniform and footwear,        Everyone busily scurrying around trying to get every child fit and ready.      Wow!

Keep in prayer for us all, and thank you praying for us.
Much Love to you all in Jesus Name

John, Esther, and Daryl Green
