Fw: JOHN GREEN'S BLOG

My apologies - AGAIN!

The Blog site was printed without : Please try again using the revised as below

NB - Our President, Hon. Kibaki, has agreed to talk about forming a Govt. of Nat. Unity. So has the opposition, but with very demanding if not arrogantly stated conditions.
There is NO DOUBT now that although the Election results are tainted and need investigation, the current upheaval and displacement of so many of our citizens - more than 300,000 now - is NOT a direct result of the Election Results. Rather they are a pre planned and orchestrated attempt to force the idea of geographical ethnic division of the Republic ........ (The Election Results being now used as a cover) There is a definate racial connotation to all that is going on, and as I have remarked before would likely have happened whatever result the Election might have had. Believing this it is also my thought that even if the Result were changed to favour the Opposion, or even if Kibaki stepped down in favour of Odinga, the actual plan of ethnic cleansing might not only continue but even gather pace and intensity. If there is any foundation for my opinion, and if it has been realised by the Government we might not see a quick solution our outcome, but only worsening situation most unhoped for, and greatly dreaded by a growing concensus. One wonders if the various foreign peace makers from UK, USA and the EU are actually aware of the ethnic currents that have historically taken root in Kenyan Society without a great deal of change.over hundreds of years. Some of the comments made by these well meaning individuals suggests they may not have been able to 'see the wood for the trees' - they can't perceive the central problem because they are looking at the more outwardly visibly tangible ones..
In writing anything in this way or even commenting on this situation as an expatriate I run certain risks - we are aware that phones can be tapped and e-mails checked on the way out. But I feel it right not to protect myself at the expense of being unable to share what so many others are too fearful to express themselves. I DO therefore bring all my sharing under the Blood of Christ. Continue to pray for us all.
John
